Subtraction of Fractions
Students learn the meaning of fractions. Each problem presents a rectangular picture frame and a simple fraction to represent the frame. Students "cut" the rectangle into equal parts and highlight the appropriate number of parts. The fraction have denominators up to 12.

Understanding Numbers
Students use a place value chart to learn about place value. Whole numbers contain three or four digits. Decimal numbers go to the hundredths place. The lesson presents three types of questions:

Students identify a digit in a given place value.

Students enter a digit that tells how many of a given      place value are in a number.

Students enter the value of a specified digit.
